Terms of Service

Last updated: August 15, 2026

PlateSnap is a web service operated by Niko as an individual. By using PlateSnap, you agree to these terms.

The service

PlateSnap generates a new food image from a reference image, settings, and optional prompt. A completed generation currently produces one JPEG at the selected aspect ratio and resolution.

PlateSnap uses generative AI. Results may change ingredients, portions, plating, backgrounds, or visible text and may not accurately represent the food you offer. You must review each result before publishing or relying on it.

Your account

You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to it secure. Do not misuse the service, interfere with its operation, bypass usage limits, or use it for unlawful or harmful activity.

Your inputs and outputs

Only upload images, prompts, and other material that you have the right to use. You give PlateSnap and its service providers permission to process that material as needed to operate the requested service.

You remain responsible for your inputs and for how you use any output. PlateSnap does not guarantee that an output is accurate, unique, non-infringing, suitable for a particular platform, or fit for a particular commercial or legal purpose. Rights in AI-generated material can vary by location and circumstance; PlateSnap does not promise exclusive ownership of an output.

Credits and generation attempts

A 1K generation uses 1 credit, 2K uses 2 credits, and 4K uses 3 credits. Credits are a service usage allowance, not money or a transferable asset. When the system records a generation as failed, the credits used for that attempt should be returned to the account. Your displayed balance is the current service record.

Guided Business pilot and billing

The current Guided Business pilot is offered at $40 per month with 100 credits for each confirmed paid monthly period. The allowance refreshes for the new paid period and unused credits do not roll over. Self-serve pilot checkout is temporarily unavailable.

When billing is available, Polar processes the transaction. The exact price, renewal, cancellation, and refund information shown at checkout applies to that purchase together with applicable law. PlateSnap does not offer a separate satisfaction guarantee or unconditional refund promise in these terms.

Service changes and availability

PlateSnap is an early product. Features, style options, limits, pricing, and availability may change. We may suspend access when reasonably needed to protect the service, investigate misuse, or meet legal obligations. We may also discontinue the service, and will use reasonable efforts to avoid unnecessary disruption.

PlateSnap materials

The PlateSnap name, interface, software, and original site content remain the property of the operator or relevant licensors. These terms do not give you permission to copy the service, bypass its controls, or use PlateSnap branding as your own.

No warranty

PlateSnap is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, a particular generation time, a particular visual result, or that an output will meet your business needs.

Changes

We may update these terms as the product changes. The date at the top identifies the current version. Continued use after an update means the updated terms apply from that point forward.
